well im late but how do you get a slot on TTJ CD's

up until now cube & me would post regularly on talk2joe on satriani.com. next time we'll continue to do that, but also use this area too, so everybody gets lots of notice, instructions, etc in good time :)

we're thinking about doing a covers cd next time, but nothing's certain yet. we have strange beautiful music publishing rights from joe himself :)

SBM is a fav of mine..i would love to be a part of that...though would a cover CD sell as well as original stuff.....i would definately want a copy :rock2:

the majority of people who bought the first cd are/were t2j peeps... we didn't do so badly.... we were promised a LOT of advertising by the way of reviews in major magazines but i guess it didn't happen for many reasons....

the second cd, well... we're relying on the people we know from t2j on satriani.com and also the cool peeps here... maybe we'll try the magazine thing too...

regarding a cover cd.... i don't know! as far as i'm concerned it's a great idea, a great thing to be involved in, it's fun, and it's all to do with joe, whether directly or indirectly... we can all hope!

Myself, I'd rather see another CD of originals than one of covers, if there's enough new artists to provide tracks. I'm hoping to get this CD I've been slacking off on finished up sometime in '06, at which point I'd be definitely interested in contributing something. :)

for the second cd we had enough contributions for a double cd, but the company we use to make the CDs either don't support double CDs or charge way too much for them (i can't remember right now)... so we have a single audio cd of the best 18 tracks and we're also thinking about releasing a data (mp3) cd of all the submitted tracks too... i'm pretty sure there'll always be enough material for each cd... and i'd certainly welcome listening to anything you have to offer! :)

i would dig a cover cd, if it did not sound anything like the original IE: different style,
a rock tune as an acoustic gypsy jazz style thing or a ballad as full on cradle of filth style thing with bast beats.
but who knows what the future will hold.
we will wait til the second cd(that is as good as any cd i have ever heard) comes out .
