Title: China clinic Gear
Description: not as usual

Have you seen Joe's gear on china clinic (if not check the bootlegs), not as usual:

Peavey Triple XXX 112 amp with extention cab
Dunlop Cry baby 535Q
Ibanez TS808 reissue
Ibanez CS9
Ibanez DE7 on the loop fx

Not his usual gear and still sound great.

God I would be buying one of this Triple XXX amp but Peavey does not makes them any more only a cheap 40 watts amp :( .

i reckon if you want to copy Joe's gear, then GET IT!!! his latest sound uses the Peavey JSX amps and associated speakers.... that might be a good place to start ;)

but PLEASE don't get discouraged if you don't sound like Joe even with the same gear!

Joe's unique. Just like all of us. ;)

I suppose the lesson in this is don't copy other people's gear, because they themselves will change their gear from time to time. Copying someone else's sound is no use anyway. You need to find you own. -_-

If you had his exact set up - you still wont sound like him. If Joe came to my house and played my guitars and amps - guess what? He would sound like Joe Satriani.

I bought the JSX because i liked it. I bought a Genz Benz El Diablo becuase I liked it. I played Ibanez before Joe or Steve Vai ever did! I use a Boss DS-1 becuase it sounded good for my set up. It was one of my first pedals.

You should do what Joe does. Play with all types of gear and keep/buy what you like and toss/ignore what you dont like. You will go broke trying to follow his every pedal change. His pedal set up changes all the time. I dont really care for the Ultimate Octave or the Boss OC-2 or 3. I would rather use my G-Force! In some aspects I think my chorus and tone blows his away. Its my ears!

with this topic i just wanted to emphasize wath you allready have said, Joe will allways sound like Joe no matter what gear he is using, also the fact that do not need a Signature gear to sound great; I would not buy anything before listening to it or at least making a research about it ;)
