Title: The lovething tone
Eric - May 7, 2005 10:25 AM (GMT)
well, who has found out how Satch got that thick wah-tone? Never heard such a beautiful wah before. He's using the 535Q, but I think the sound was tweaked quite a bit (EQ etc) after it was recorded...
Who knows how Satch got this wah soudn?

You shud hear my Flex's Wah, it is coming very close brother :)
To achieve him we have to 'become' him. That wud be a very wet dream :rock2:
For now, replace his old stuff you find on
http://guitargeek.com/rigview/293/ and replace the old amps by his new stuff.

I love the tone on LOVE THING, very atmospheric and deep, if you get what I mean lol

Old thread but to me that sounds like a good Marshall-y amp, with a liberal room mic - it's got a bit more depth than a straight close-mic'd amp, IMO.

my Js1200 through my marshall tsl100 sounds pretty damn close minus the wah

Overdrive your signal a little bit before it hits the wah.

Here's my attempt at "Love Thing" kinda sketchy in places but I think it came out pretty good. Let me know what you think

Thanx for the reply Flobanez, really awesome stuff you have on your site! I see you're an Ibanez man. My number 1 geetar is an Ibanez 320QM I bought on ebay for $350. Best $$$ I've ever spent. I had it set up for $30 and the action is slicker than greased owl shit. :P Later bro.

not bad but turn down the gain a bit and turn up the bass and mids. What r u using btw?
alphax - November 6, 2005 07:07 AM (GMT)
yeah not bad! I don't think the reverb fits in though. I think there is another effect your using too that doesn't belong. You play very well though. Enjoyed it!
