This is a new reality show, they did one for INXS(or whatever there name is) its kinda like American Idol, but the band members are the judges. Van Halen will be of coarse looking for there next lead singer. Now with INXS the singer as you all know took his own life, so ok these guys really do need a singer, but Van Halen already had 3 singers, 2 of them were great one was not so great, do we really need a tv show to find these guys a singer? I Don't think we do. These guys just need to act like grown ups and put all that bullshit in the past and move on.

I havent heard about it yet, but Il check it out. It doesnt really sound like VH, and like you said they dont need a reality show to find one. Unless, they are desperate for money in which case this 'show' would rake a few thousand in for them...but I doubt it. Il take it as a rumour until I find an official statement.

I think that I heard this a while ago, I think that VH denied it and I just dismissed it as an internet rumor. It would be pretty interesting though, I'm not much of a VH van anymore but I would watch it.

huh. a nice experience for someone, but van halen are too cool to participate in some reality show like that. good luck to anyone that is willing to try and follow in the footsteps of Dave lee Roth and Sammy Hagar anyway. those guys rock.

maybe if VH do get a new singer though, we might see planet US again....

i read somewhere that VH denies it and doesnt want to do that. he's busy holidayin and gettin drunk.

They will tour with Roth again before this could ever happen.

I saw the last tour with Dave in summertime '84 at the Los Angeles Forum. It was AWESOME !!!

I wish they would get back together already at least for one tour.

I dont think it will ever happen though, because playing with dave, he doesn't leave room for anyone else to be a rock star but himself, I hate to say.

And Eddie from what I have seen personally and from what I hear, he is not such a nice guy afterall. He would not even sign my book when I saw him at the NAMM show a few years ago. "No fuckin autographs" he said to me (a fan since 1980-81). I wont buy any VH CD again, even if they do regroup.

I mean even Gene Simmons was nicer to me than Eddie.

On the other hand I will buy every CD Joe has and any cool items too, because not only is Joe the king of AXE, he is totally cool & kind and worthy of me spending my money on.. !!

Honestly, if they were to do this, they'd be better off auditioning for a new guitarist, the way EVH's been living lately.
