cool man, got my vote B)

FenixBG - March 14, 2006 07:26 PM (GMT)
Got mine also.

I looked at the list - Kirk Hammett is 30 which I would not say should be so, but the fact that Curt Cobain is 3 places above Satch is somewhat... ridiculous.

Spider - March 14, 2006 09:04 PM (GMT)
and mine as well :) .

Baldu - March 14, 2006 09:52 PM (GMT)

me too!!

tschommer - March 15, 2006 12:38 AM (GMT)
I voted too, seems to be a strange list. I thought I new a lot of guitar players but I have only heard of about half of those guys on the list.

FenixBG - March 15, 2006 01:54 PM (GMT)
Hurray! Lets go over Curt Cobain, now Satch is 48th.

jonnyw - March 17, 2006 11:38 AM (GMT)
BUMP!!

JS10th.com - March 18, 2006 09:32 AM (GMT)
John Petrucci is 16th atm, and Vai 19th, Joe way down at 48 ... what up with that? LOL .. GO JOE :D

grijalva - March 19, 2006 03:17 AM (GMT)
Tom Morello 12th? Joe Satriani 49th? Something is very wrong here...

FTZ - May 19, 2006 06:14 PM (GMT)
This is just like the Rolling Stone top 50 or 100 (whatever it was)
All kinds of people that are not anywhere close to the level Joes at getting a great rating and it's complete BS.
Not sure how they rate the best but it sure isn't accurate IMO.

Bahamut - May 21, 2006 04:16 PM (GMT)
I think Satch has to be in the top 5 in any lineup, some of the ppl they have in top 20 is abit unrealistic to say the least

Satch Boogie - May 21, 2006 04:36 PM (GMT)
I rarely agree with any of these top 10, 50, 100, whatever polls. Most people who do vote know jack shit about playing guitar, so any technical abilities are not taken into account when they vote. It's usually how popular an artist/guitarist is. For example, as much as I love Kurt Cobain/Nirvana, he shouldn't even come anywhere near a top 100 guitarist poll, now a songwriter poll, that maybe a little different ;)

tschommer - May 21, 2006 08:43 PM (GMT)
I think in polls like these they should use the word "Important" instead of "Best" that way when you see a guy like Keith Richards ahead of someone like Joe Satriani it could at least be justified by saying that Keith is (maybe) a more important player than Joe just because of the popularity of his band, songs and the fact that he helped create some of the vocabulary that define rock guitar.

Then again part of the reason for these lists is to generate controversy and help increase hits or circulation.

satriani guy - June 14, 2006 04:17 PM (GMT)
amazingly joe is at 45, come on to number 1!!, in an amazing 474th place is andy timmons,, i dont get it, i mean elvis is about 600 places above him,, maybe people dont know what good music is?!??

Niluge_KiWi - July 27, 2006 03:34 PM (GMT)

odd trio - July 29, 2006 10:26 PM (GMT)
not a great stones fan , but richards has a more organic sound than most popular rock guitarists.
