I planing to buy a new amp...

I don't have much money but i want a nice one...

Does anybody know, if the Peavey Valve King is something, i should buy?!

How much do you have to spend? I've heard the Valve King's build quality leaves much to be desired.

although the discussion went off on a tangent about football, it does have helpful info.

Guitarist magazine (or one of the UK mags) gave the VK a really good review recently, but I felt that that was based on a value-for-money approach. I myself think the VK doesn't sound very good on the OD channels but has a decent clean. The features it offers are top-notch though. Others have commented that it's a great amp.
