You know, Petrucci may take a lot of heat (unjustly, I feel) for being a "mindless shredder" and the like, but man, Petrucci can do Gilmour better than anyone I've heard.

If you haven't seen this, this video is absolutely inspiring.

This is cool for what it is, too, the trailer for the DSotM DVD. I've got the CD - it's bloody phenominal.

Awsome trailer and the cover of comfortably numb was awsome till the other 2 guitarists joind in at the end of petrucci's solo, that just ruined it.

Damn. Not surprised, though - I've since been told it's a bonus track on the DT "Dark Side of the Moon" concert DVD.

Anyway, trust me that it was awesome. :)

DSOTM by DT IMO is a bit better than Floyd's version...mainly cos i heard the DT version first! :P

BUT, DT do a VERY good job covering it! LaBrie's voice is simply PERFECT for such stuff!!! he pulls off songs like Breathe, Us and Them n Brain Damage brilliantly. Petrucci's solo are as good as Gilmour's and some places a bit better too! his bluesy pentatonic solo on Any Colour You Like is prolly IMO one of his BEST! and coming to Rudess...he just made me :wtf2: with his playing in Any Colour You Like!!!

and yes....Confortably Numb is there on the second disc, A Saucerful Of Floyd, along with a few other Floyd songs like Sheep, echoes pt. 1, One of these days...and they are ALL great!!!

and if u havent guessed by now...im a big DT fanboy!!! :P :D
