victor wooten and his bro reggie wooten are pretty freakin good at this style of playing. of course victor plays bass, and reggie plays guitar.
theres a dvd victor put out i guess some years ago, ive got it ill have to go look at the title later, but he demonstrates a lot of playing techniques of his. and reggie is on some of the video. reggie plays the slap guitar kinda like a bass player would, so its really interesting.
but it would probably really help you with ideas of how you would wanna go about playing this stuff.
