wtg! :)

how are you liking / not liking it?

MattJ - August 4, 2006 07:03 PM (GMT)
I think the pedal is great!!!!!!

Been playing around with it quite a bit and you can easily get the 'satch' tone ;)

I dont know if people just buy these pedals for the octave feature but i have found myself really liking the straight fuzz sound too, it does sound like a very compressed fuzz kind of sound which i really really like, i suppose like an 'out if phase' fuzz if that makes sense? Sounds so different to the DS-1!

I give the pedal 10/10 though!

Nice one m8, i do have the Boss OC-2 , can't say im that impressed with it, compared to Boss's other pedals it seems pretty crap
Glad this one is working well for ya m8 :)

cool looking pedal Matt. getting away from the pedal i like the bodd pedal board but do you know if it is suitable for the digitech whammy which runs at 9v 1.3A...i want something to drive a whammy, 535q, oc2 and bf2 but the whammy seems to be the hard one to incorporate as it has higher current required?

PhryDom - August 8, 2006 10:42 PM (GMT)
stewmunny, it's not the higher current, it's the power itself - the whammy needs an AC power supply, not a DC one like most other pedals...

check out Godlyke for super dooper multi-function effects power supplies, i'm not sure if they do AC adaptors, but they're (from what i've read) highly recommended and not too expensive.

hope this helps!

Cheers Dave yeah I sussed out it was hte AC versus DC problem and looks like I will need 2 supplies...the godlyke stuff seems very good many thanks.

Hello, i'm a newbie here! I like to ask somebody... what does the Fulltone Ultimate Octave in the sound of Satch??

Thanx

welcome to the forum! :welcome:

the LISF DVD's extras have joe talking about the pedal (he doesn't name it, if i remember correctly), i think he refers to it as a spacey sound.

the first track that comes to my mind where he uses it (there are lots!) is the solo in Crystal Planet.

This thing is the best pedal I've ever purchased: 535q and digitech whammy comes in second :)
