heard the latest from jimmy page the other night. its on lewis version of ''rock and roll''. at first i wasnt sure if it was page , even though jimmy page online has article about the album. i figured it was him and i was right. it seemed like someone else , like anyone working on a session. then there was some familiar rocking part , and since it is page i am looking for something interesting or unusual . the noticiable part was how the solo ended in just the right place as it always does on zeppelin albums. you'd need a whole album , but it seems he can still play resonably.

The live stuff he did with the Black Crowes is also pretty dam good. He has always been a bit on the sloppy side (at least live) but he will always be one of the all time greats. I just heard about this CD on a Telecaster forum that I frequent, I may pick it up in the next few days.

page should release something , its supposed to be in the making , but who knows .i should add, that i also finally heard a new WHO song on radio. it was really good , kind of a gradual buildup to some nice guitar picking outro . it's as if pete knows that the guitar has come a long way all these years and he throws in some picking , sord of a dire straits type thing except it has his trademark bops and pops . much more interesting than recent ''straits''.

according to jimmy page online , there is a solo album to be made in a few months. an abum he needs to ''get out of his system''.

I bought the Jerry Lee Lewis disk a few weeks ago, and it's really awesome. I highly recommend picking it up.

Did you see that documentary about Elvis last year on PBS and they had several prominent musicians like McCartney, Page, Plant meet with Elvis' band members and record one of Elvis' songs? Page/Plant recorded an old song called "Hole in my bucket" or something like that. While they were talking Page was slouching on the couch with his hand down his pants the whole time rubbing his belly like he ate something bad.

I think Page should hang it up, go out in style. I saw him twice in '88 with Jason Bonham. It was atrocious.

thats what im saying , this album will show if he has anything. he should just do a bluesy grinder album with good solos . sort of a black dog guitar grinder. simple arrange ments with some occasional dubs to fill it out...

Sure, but he's already done that to death with Zep.

To put it into perspective, I picked up Robert Plant and the Strange Sensation's "Mighty Rearranger" about six months ago. It absolutely rules. Why? Because while you can hear the roots and the influence, it sounds nothing like Zeppelin. It's got some nice rootsy elements and some bluesy, Zep-like grooves, but it's also got a bit of electronica mixed in there. "Shine it All Around" kicks ass because it sounds like someone who listened to a lot of Led Zeppelin but then found a way to update the sound, and NOT like something by the guy who used to sing in Led Zeppelin.

too many typos ^^ above!! , anyways , plant said on the interview , that since he can do the music he wants to now , he's ''playing a lot less tennis '' than he normally would !! MY tee - re - range - ah , is how he said it. not like we would say in usa my tee re uh range - er... lol (wheres the smiles enabler??)
