Title: Satriani´s Nascar 06 Vidoe Game Music
Description: I have it and it rocks

Rocklegend - November 2, 2006 11:22 AM (GMT)
I have Satriani´s Music to his Nascar 06 video game all I can say is that it Rocks----I kinda wish that SC was like this...

I don´t know how to put in the Bootleg section or if I´m allowed to.... ;)

SirChick - November 2, 2006 02:17 PM (GMT)
I think i already got it... but not sure ... you got to find a way to upload it man !

motorcycle_driver - November 2, 2006 02:58 PM (GMT)
it's copyrighted stuff, so u cant put it in the bootlegs section.

send a PM to Eric The Administrator. he'll tell u what to do.

satchforever - November 2, 2006 03:10 PM (GMT)
Man I would kill to be able to listen to the music for this game

motorcycle_driver - November 2, 2006 06:18 PM (GMT)
i have it. it's great stuff. im still wonderin of i could use the actual EA Trax files in other games!

SirChick - November 2, 2006 10:43 PM (GMT)
Im sure we can fiddle a way round it.

PhryDom - November 3, 2006 02:12 AM (GMT)
There's no fiddling (in this forum) when it comes to encouraging copyright infringement. Sorry. It's in the rules.

Amen.

BTW, EA was supposed to release this as a regular CD, through Nettwerk (they do all the Sarah McLachlan remix stuff). I wonder if that's still a go, since that was supposed to happen at year-end 2005...:

"November 4, 2005
Vancouver's Nettwerk Music Group has teamed up with megalithic games company Electronic Arts to launch "EA Recordings," a digital music distribution label. The newly-minted label will distribute Electronic Arts' video game music as MP3 files and ringtones to services such as Apple's iTunes store. This is Electronic Arts' second foray into music, having announced "Next Level Music" a year ago this month. EA Recordings plans to offer a wide range new releases and back-catalogue recordings by the end of the year, including soundtracks from GoldenEye: Rogue Agent (Paul Oakenfold), The Sims series (Mark Mothersbaugh), and NASCAR 06: Total Team Control (Joe Satriani)."

how many trax is it just out of curiosity?

rygelxvi - November 4, 2006 08:26 AM (GMT)

Tokamana - November 5, 2006 07:48 AM (GMT)
i'd like to hear the soundtrack as well, if someone can pm me some details that'll be great or send me an email to moto_psycho69@hotmail.com

cheers.

SirChick - November 6, 2006 01:17 AM (GMT)
Its probably wise this conversation transferred to your private messages guys... :)

Your talking about copyright material which admins dont allow..i been told off before so just so you know.

PhryDom - November 6, 2006 02:37 PM (GMT)
I found nothing after Googling the Nettwerk site. Maybe it's still in the planning stages, or maybe there are contractual things to sort out with Sony. Who knows

As long as people don't give instructions on how to circumvent copyright, or provide links to anything along those lines, talk is fine. But details, yes, should be confined to private emails. PMs and emails originating here still go through the forum's servers, and we don't want that. Thx

Rocklegend - November 7, 2006 12:59 PM (GMT)
Primiraly I would like to talk about the songs on the album.I personally love them and the sound. After listening to the trcks I would put this on instead of SC for example. The Tone of the guitars are fantastic...Joe´s best tone for ages IMO

SirChick - November 7, 2006 04:18 PM (GMT)
I like Enter the Zone that should have been on the album.

motorcycle_driver - November 7, 2006 05:26 PM (GMT)
actually, a LOT of songs had to be on the album!

SirChick - November 7, 2006 05:29 PM (GMT)
Mind you i think its cos its "not on the album" this is why we wish it was... we want what we know we cant have ! :(

mouhsen - November 29, 2006 11:57 PM (GMT)
Honeslty, I'm a bit confused, i listened to songs... a couple of songs were cool and stuck out. however I don't think it was joe's best tone by far... and at the same time. It did seems in a couple of places oookay....

just my 2 cents.

I very much doubt he tried all that hard.. wldnt surprise me if it was all done in his home studio .. doesnt really need to be perfectly Joe Satriani, just has to suit the game.

i think super colossal was the only ''misstep'' in an otherwise great recording career.

wasp2020 - December 1, 2006 03:56 AM (GMT)
seriously? you think it's that bad?

Axeshredder - December 1, 2006 06:14 AM (GMT)
listening to it makes me wanna play :hunger:

No doubt...He was probably sitting on the toilet when he wrote it...Hey, what about the Phone Call? My lord, what was he thinking! Regarding Super Colossal etc...Joe needs to get away from the pentatonic scale for at least one song...starting to get stale...

motorcycle_driver - December 1, 2006 02:08 PM (GMT)
GOD, i'd LOVE that. but some of joe's pentatonic licks kinda surpirse me and sound good. so dont want him to totally leave em out!

SirChick - December 1, 2006 03:13 PM (GMT)
I dont like super collossal. Its too normal for Joe...One Robots Dream now thats joe its unusual its not of this earth.. wen i first got joe's albums i have EOC and crystal planet.. and surfing with the alien, and i thought woah this is something diffrent......

but now the albums are becoming more normal......too rock n roll and less experimental with sounds...

thought some songs you can hear him keep his normal not of the earth sounds... just how i feel about it... id rather him make unusual yet musical songs not "just musical" :P

Rocklegend - December 1, 2006 03:37 PM (GMT)
I feel very conflicted regarding SC.It just doesn´t have that WOW factor that I´m used to with a Satch Record, maybe it´s just the Production.ITLIS just amazes me esp on the Production side and the Songs just Rock. Now the Nascar songs although are just 2 mins long had a greater impact on my Listening expierence than the whole of SC.The riffs on some of the songs on Nascar where mind blowing and the short melody passages are excellent and his tone just knocked me for six and not laden with strange effects like some of SC.
As for it been recorded in his Home Studio well most of all the Guitar tracks for SC where done in his Home Studio....

Axeshredder - December 1, 2006 03:53 PM (GMT)
Joe has always been ahead of his time and by the last few comments, hes ahead of your time too. Complex compositions are all fine and good for us guitarist but a little too much for the average and if he wants to bring his music (or try to) to non-guitarist he had to make an album like SC.........as for going off topic, the nascar tracks are built fairly the same way, as many poular songs are...keeping it simple.....just my 3 cents

odd trio - December 1, 2006 08:15 PM (GMT)
in fact i like acouple of songs from that, ive been recently thinking that i like theme for strange world and also redshift riders. those are the 2 songs that i think that i want to hear when i put that record on .its really not that bad , but i will say one thing-- its making ''itlis'' look like a very good to great album now. some records age like the wine that satriani drinks...(huh!)

SirChick - December 4, 2006 01:04 AM (GMT)
He needs to do another album which is a mixture of "not of this earth - pitch axis theory", crystal planet and EOC!

Rawal - December 5, 2006 10:12 AM (GMT)
Honestly, I didn't think SC was that bad. It was pretty average but the tracks didnt have even one bad wank solo. Out of a 10, I would probably rate it 5 or 6, thats about it. Satch isnt such a pentatonic wanker, if he was, no one would respect him. He does overuse it at times, but thats about it.

al_peggio - December 5, 2006 12:54 PM (GMT)
I like the rock albums the most. SC was good and I was pretty happy that he didn't sing in it and that wahwah wasn't used so much. I think he likes to experiment and come up with new stuff, on this nascar album it seems (judging from the comments) that he have kept it simple and melodic which I like.
Hope I will get to hear it soon.

SirChick - December 5, 2006 04:39 PM (GMT)
Super collossal is kept simple.... i do like it dont kept me wrong.. but its too normal which doesnt go well with him. IMHO

I like Joe to be more like "One Robots dream" much more experimental. I know someone said he probably done it to touch people who arent guitarists etc... but its just so out of place to Joe.... It does show the fun side of joe but EOC CP NOTE < those 3 albums sum up what made Joe altho so did SWTA and FIABD but, beyond them the songs because slowly but surely more with the "in thing" instead of being one step ahead of the "in thing"....Joe used to set the levels people never hit, now hes sorta following the music and too much like other music. Super Collossal is a very normal song...though good guitaring its just not unusual enough for me :P Bring back EOC and CP style i say.... though many years of Joe left... ;) lets hope he does think about bring back some of his passed and see what he can do with all these new technologies and more years of playing under his belt. Im sure the next album will be interesting...(im guessing some techno will be involved in it)

al_peggio - December 5, 2006 05:41 PM (GMT)
I like his music to be normal. EOC is too much shred for my taste.

yes...the next album will surely be interesting...joe has been doin a lot of rock lately, Sc and ITLIS that is...maybe SBM too....so i have a feeling that Joe might experiment a LOT in his next album, with a lil shreds(if ur ok with that term), virtuosity, dexterity....and of course...some good ol' music....

SirChick - December 5, 2006 06:27 PM (GMT)
Id like to see some two handed legato taps that he does in AWUAWM song...something nice in a solo though not like Midnight and Bamboo and New Blues... iv never seen him do it much

Rawal - December 5, 2006 06:34 PM (GMT)
I think Back To Shalla - Bal would make perfect Nascar soundtrack. :P

SirChick - December 5, 2006 08:39 PM (GMT)
yer! lets hope for a less rock album... as some one named it ... joe just is not that...hes a not of this earth person and so he should... if it gets any more rock hell just have rock licks .... personally if u want rock go to van halen. joe is not that kinda guy i dont rekon

Rawal - December 6, 2006 08:19 AM (GMT)
Seriously, the Satch I love the most would have to be however he likes it. I love all his albums equally and couldn't care if he plays rock or not, it just has to be Satch.

SirChick - December 6, 2006 04:57 PM (GMT)
I know but hes done a few rock ones as it is.... id like something diffrent. And new "jump" i wana see a new dimension to his music creations. Like with EOC it took me time to realise it was even a guitar player doing some of the songs till i saw it live in san francisco to believe it.

Hmmm till now, these are the styles Satch has covered :
1. Not Of This Earth : Pure Instrumental Rock
2. Surfing With The Alien : Foundation of Alien noises in Pure Instrumental Rock
3. Extremist : Rock n Roll with a more balladeer sound.
4. Flying In A Blue Dream : Just like its name, a dreamy sound.
5. Joe Satriani : Bluesy Rock side
6. Crystal Planet :
7. Engines Of Creation : Techno Guitar
8. Strange, Beautiful Music : Just like its name, Strange, mystical world sounds.
9. Is There Love In Space? : Alien Sounds
10. Super Colossal : Rock

Just what I think..
