in december ''esquire'' magazine , on page 102 , there is an article titled ''surfing with the alien'', in which it discusses the you tube phenomenon of people playing their guitar and showing what they can do , in an era where virtuosity is out of style in mainstream rock. a reference is made to JS in relation to the articles theme. also vai mentioned.

no , but heres some quotes; ''guitar godding is an athletic pursuit. jeong - hyun kim is kind of like Joe Satriani, but he's also a mountain climber. and athleticism needs to be seen to be appreciated''.. referring to the ability to see guitarists in action on You Tube i suppose. '' very often profoundly exceptional guitar playing is boring to listen to. i own steve vai's passion and warfare , and i wish it was better than the first elastica record; it should be but isn't''....the last paragraph in article says ..'' within the unpoliced universe of You Tube , no one can stop you from surfing with the alien. and once you see it , you might want to see it again''.

Im on about the people who post comments about sumin that is poo but still say its amazing.... i dont mind people showing off their guitar thats cool...but if u do it for just comments ... im sure there are more important things that can fulfill you day than that ;) though asking for tips on how to improve is cool least it shows your using communities for a good reason other than ego boosting... but i rarely see a video saying "post some tips on how i could improve" no one does it.
