I was going to say that nothing interesting has ever happened to me, but then I remembered this, and it was only a year ago. It seems much more interesting than the fact that I wear matching socks. Here is a photo album...

I was trapped in Cancun Mexico during the hurricane last year, I met a beautiful young lass, and had the adventure of a lifetime!!! Did I mention the beautiful girl!!!

i used to live near a rock club , and youd pass by and look in the small window that was near the back of the place. you would pass by and look in occasionally and see many acts. SRV played there one time , but i didnt go because that was before he became very famous and i wasnt that aware of him. but i did look in the window one time when faboulous t birds played there because id heard about jimmie vaughn and wanted to see what he looked like and played. id heard about him from a robin trower interview. also saw neil young from outside , as it was sold out. but i did see the 1984 version of MSG. schenker threw his hat into the crowd after encores , the jetted out the back into a limo that took off down the street. classic rock days. also donovan gave a little talk in thr back of the club after the show. he sat on a car hood and ''held court'' . his speaking voice sounded like an old saiolr , not the ''mellow yellow'' type high voice ypu'd expect. trower also came out back to sign things. i was 6 feet from RT, imagine that. 10 years earlier you wouldnt believe youd get that close to him. from stadiums to clubs in few short years!

odd trio - December 3, 2006 10:12 PM (GMT)
ill finish up about MSG. that was the tour he was wearing the black ''bomber jacket'' and jeans you see from that era. there was somebody in the crowd that was holding up a white , stringless ''flying - V'' guitar body. i was late arriving , and just heard the last part of ''ready to rock'' . as i was waliking in the club , ''into the arena'' was playing , appropriately , even though at that time , i wasnt aware of that song title. it was a really good show , although the stage sound was kind of flat. but all those songs were played perfectly , no flubs . i also saw allan holdsworth there also , the crowd wasnt too big but he really played non stop swirling guitar solos. it wasnt like those albums. it seemed like he was playing much more solos. i only went to see him 'cause that was the time wnen EVH was always talking about him, si i had to see that. his playing was like ome seamless long guitar solo throughout the show. actuall , i overslept and was late for the show , but still heard plenty...

So you are religious then lol..... if u believe in a holy spirit then thats religious in its basic form how ever. tell us about this god... seems fun :P

motorcycle_driver - December 6, 2006 08:41 PM (GMT)
what i meant was that though every religion has a God, with different names, appearances and all....i all that doesnt matter, but only our faith in Him, and that He made us for a purpose, and surely has planned an interesting life for us, full of ups n downs...

surely nothin wrong in giving Him a name and a form...it's just how diffrernt people percieve God....

I got interested in the Beatles' music after seeing a re-run of the Beatles cartoon in a hotel somewhere when I was pretty young. They played the cover of Twist and Shout, and I had the tune stuck in my head for days, but I couldn't remember the words. I eventually went to KMart and bought a few Beatles cassettes that had songs that had titles that seemed like they might be the song. About 5 albums later, I found it, but got hooked on the rest of them in the meantime. Before that I was listening to the obvious combination of Bach and Run-DMC almost exclusively B) The Run-DMC album was "Raising Hell" (which I bought after my friend got "You Be Illin'" stuck in my head), so it was probably around '86.

nasask8r - June 28, 2007 03:19 AM (GMT)
I like to play guitar.

... haha, just kidding, you already knew that. I like to skateboard.

motorcycle_driver - June 28, 2007 12:30 PM (GMT)

rygelxvi - June 28, 2007 02:21 PM (GMT)

Ah, I stopped smoking today :)

Hmm.... about that.... I kinda have ADD when it comes to learning Satch songs. I can get almost all the way through learning a song, and then I just can't focus anymore. I don't know why. I will post a Ten Words cover soon (with a partial improv solo, of course ;) ).

P.S. Yes, motorcycle_driver, I do like Linux :D

motorcycle_driver - June 28, 2007 06:13 PM (GMT)
great! me using PCLinuxOS now! great out of the box distro!

what're u using?

nasask8r - June 29, 2007 03:28 AM (GMT)
Ubuntu Studio (it is Ubuntu Feisty with a bunch of audio/graphics/video software preinstalled).

And to stay on topic, I like basket weaving. Seriously.
