I need help, i just got a 535Q wah pedal, and it sounded awsome at the shop through the amps ditortio channel, and sounds good through my amp channels, but the second i put it through my ds1 it sound discusting, any help is very appretiated.

Have yo tried by changin the way you link the pedals?

i used mine through my zoom gfx 707 and sounds nice, in this way:

Guitar > 535q > Zoom 707 > Amp

thry settin the wha pedal before the distortion one, maybe that would be an answer.


Ow an another thing taht can be happenin is that you have clicked on the "Boost button" (the little red button at he right side where your heel would be when you are stepin the pedal)
if the redo butten is clicked in, just clicked out, and that would be all i guess

Yeah, make sure you're running the wah before the distortion.

Also, a "wah" effect is always more pronounced at lower gain than it is higher - maybe back the gain off a touch if this doesn't help?

Yeah i've tryed having it before and after my distortion, it's just sounds like the signal breaks up or something heaps wierd, it's sound fine just through my cleanchannel or just through my amps distorion chanell but as soon as mr ds1 coms into play its badness, i have brand new leads, i don't have a power adaptor for my wah, but the battery is new, i'm thinking of taking back and see what they say.

This is what it sounds like through my distortion channel not pedal straght, i have full gain and the boost on with full volume, i reckon it sounds pretty awsome, but i never use this channell as it's to dirty for the sort of playing i do, just check the myspace link and scroll down a bit to one of the vids :)

4 yrs, do u have any idea y my wah is being gay through ds1?

Have you adjusted the Q peak to adapt to it ? IDEALLY u shld use amp distortion with a good amp lol.... no offence ;)

because then u have no problems... but lower the Q adjust it a bit and ideally DS should be before WAH anyway.. otherwise DS distorts the sound of the wah making it sound like u want to die.. in stead of the wah "wah'in" the sound of the distortion.. u get me ?

Dude i said i hate the sound of my amps distortion thats y i never use it, i'm trying to get it to work wit my ds1 but it's sounds terable, i'v tryd every different order wit my ds1 dd3 and wah u can do. And i mucked around with tones of the settings on the wah to.

I have a marshall avt 50, i wouldn't call it shit aye.

try to buy a power suply ONLY for th ewah pedal

I used to have one power supply wich has a lot of periferics, so y could aply lot of pedals with only one adaptor.

When i did that sahrin the power supply with my zoom gfx 707 and my 535, it wasn't that nice the sound, and besides there were like a static sound

so my recommendation is to buy one ecxlusively for the 535!

Take it back for another testdrive at the store, man! Don´t forget to take the DS-1 with you too, perhaps someone at the store have any ideas.
