Title: Revalver Mk Ii
Description: !!!
MUzzY - January 6, 2007 05:11 PM (GMT)
This is what we have been wating for guys!!! The holy grail of software amp sim! And all that in 9-12mb!
ReValve WebpageSound quality beats Guitar rig2 and Amplitube2 easy. It sounds and react so real!!! :)
It's a bit harder to get a good combination because it really reacts like a real stomp box/amp/cabs, so you need to play around with it alot. You can tweak virtally anythig form diodes in stomp boxes, pre amp models, tubes in amps, cabinet size, speaker type/number to mic position (you can place mics anywhere you want! Finaly!)!
I am soooo excited! I've been playing with it for a while and its simply amasing how higain really works like higain...
And it only cost 150 euro!!! (there is student disscount too - 50% so you can get it for 75e)
Try it! :) I am never touchig guitar rig again.

If you don't have ASIO drivers for your soundcard try Asio4all. It's linked on the Alien Connections site, but here it is again
http://www.alienconnections.com/display_eu...es/SetupA4A.exeThat might help! :)

Thanks but that did'nt help. I'm pretty sure i already had ASIO drivers cause i use Guitar Rig with that. It still gives the same problems. I guess i'm destined to use Guitar Rig

Well, I can't afford ReValver, so I'm gonna stick with my Behringer pedal and my free VST plugins ;)
Sorry you weren't able to try it though :(

I've finaly made some recording with revalver:
SecretPlayer Revalver2 testingNeverminde my bad playing, I'm interested in your opinions about the tone? I used AKG 141 studio monitoring headphones witch I like alot and I think thay give you a good sound picture but when I listen to this recording on my iPod or some other player or sound sistem I sound a bit too bright. I am right?
I've made raspberry jam cover too. I wanted to test how guitar rig's whammy pedal works with revalver:

 Sounds pretty good ^_^
1. Would you care to make a surfing with the alien version?
2. Would you care to share your settings, and is it a standalone application? I see its some sort of... vsti? If so... what is your host application?
3. Are you using besides of your guitar, what equipment? And I guess if you're using pedals and so... is it possible for it to sound well just with the amp and the guitar, nothing else?
Sorry for the lot of questions... just a n00b I am ;)
MUzzY - February 1, 2007 08:00 AM (GMT)
Thnks :) not my best but :)
1. I haven't planed but maby...
2. I can't share my settings because I'm using demo vertion witch doesn't let you save the presets. Revalver is a VST but it comes as a standalone too(only you can't record in this mode). I'm using cubaseSX but as soon as thay put mac vertion for download I'll use it in Logic (I like the sound quality in Logic more, it yust sounds better, fuller).
3. I only use my guitar. I do have boss pw10 wah pedal but I didn't use it in this song.
You can visit Revalver2's forum. One user made a preset based on my directions so you can download it. Only you have to register.

1. That would be awesome... you know, in order to hear a real player playing (doh!) that song, then maybe consider buying this Vsti or not ;)
2. Oh I understand. But will check out their forums then ;)
3. That is great news :D
Thanks for your answers ;)
