what a stupid thing to say .... what has crying got to do with the ability to see .... you were crying when you came into this world and your eyes were closed at that time .... you don't even need to be born to know how to cry :P
It's just instinctive

but how would a blind man know that he is crying... he might feel sad but wouldnt know what crying is unless some one told him, but even then you wouldnt be sure. You can only tell some one is really crying from what you see... a blind person would never had seen it... :P
but im amazed you didnt take the fact that it was a joke u fool.. i thought it was quite obvious with this statement:
any one blind here reading what i just typed that could answer my question ?
Now whos stupid ;) at least the blind know a joke when they see one.

I really unlike Deep Purple and it's not because of Joe...

Thanks for posting. Its been a while since I've listened to "Flying In A Purple Dream" but I really don't remember the album version of "When A Blind Man Cries" being so good.

thats cool, it's great to be able to hear lots of differnt takes of Deep Purple songs by different guitarists the band has had.
for me, the steve morse live version (live at the olympia) of when a blind man cries is the best i've ever heard. the solos are much more fitting than joe's take or even the original in my opinion.
i had the bootleg of an entire concert (think i got it here) but i deleted it, i just don't think Joe worked that well with the rest of the band. it was like he added too much of himself, so it was like Joe Satriani doing deep purple covers, not deep purple, if you see what i mean. like i said though, it's good to hear different takes of the same songs, i imagine some people dig Joe's version much more than Steve's or Richie Blackmore.
if a blind man were to cry, he could feel the tears on his face. ;)
