Hey guys, as im building my new guitar, i would like you guys to help me with a paintjob. I have seen alot of photoshop work done to JS guitars so perhaps you guys could design one for my guitar and ill pick the best one and use it!

Use a fender strat body shape for the paint job attempt please, so i can picture it more on my guitar. But nothing too complex interms of patterns cos i aint no pro at painting guitars ;) but it needs to look unique!!!!!!

Erm here is a suggestion! Building a totally from scratch guitat is a big step so why not grab some bits and pieces body etc eg. JS100 body then grab some hardware and create a custom JS. Zombo from 6sh who is Flyingzombo on here

John is a paint sprayer and is very talented and may be able to help out customising a body that you buy whether its strat, js or jem shaped.

I also know he is moving back from Germany to the South of England so getting something to him would be easier if you wanted him to do it for you.

Anyway just a thought as it would be easier to buy parts and build than making a body from scratch then next project you do could be the full monty!!

No im building it from scratch and painting it myself lol. Its not that big of a step it just takes longer. :) I just want to see some paint job ideas for when i get around to painting the body.


Plus im not aiming to make a copy of a copyrighted guitar, its going to be unique to myself.

Fair enough Rick on 6sh is your man on the wood construction he used all the info from projectguitar.com to do his project.

Dont worry about help for building the guitar ive had many tips off everyone and i feel i can do it now with that projectguitar site :D
i just want to see what paint job ideas people have :P lol
