Hi AverageJoeguitarist,

I did a small drum part for your guitar. Im not good at it. Especially not if its not my own guitar part and have to edit all stuff. Don't laugh about the sample, its kinda bad, but I like the drums samples.

Here is another Sample from my last Idea, also the same samples:

Variax Idea with Drums

Little Drum Tutorial for AJG:
You asked in another Thread how to program drums or how to create drums. First of all you need good samples: For example there is the free Drumkit from Naturalstudio. It sounds kinda cool (thats what the people say). Have a look here:

NS_Kit7 Free.

You can download it in different versions like Wave, Soundfonts, Battery and so on. And that is the big difference in drum programming. Some people are using ready drum loops and play their Guitar over it, and other people like me program their drums.

For that you will need a program in which u can use the severall Samples (Kick, Snare, Hat and so on) and create the drums in an drum roll like editor for example Cubase, Fruity Loops and so on. You have to decide what u wanna use.

To create realistic drums you have to do consider some things. No Drummer will play every Hihat the same velocity. So u have to play with the velocity a lot to get a human feeling. You have to play with the panning to get a good room.

You have to watch what a real drumme can play? Only 2 hands and 2 feet, so don't play to much.

To get an idea what drummers play you can have a look at drum tabs at:
Drum Tabs

Hope this will help a bit... :D :D :D
