As the launch for PS3 was today, and probably the same for the rest of Europe, i was curious as to who in the world owns one of them. And what are your comment's reviews on the console... is it worth the buy? Though i find it will be but not till the games really start kicking off PS3 is always very slow with getting games on the shelves ready. Theres like 10 games to choose from in the Uk so far ! lol there all a bit shit as well except motorstorm...

whats your thoughts guys for who ever has one.. and is any one here getting one that hasn't got one yet?

Let me preface by saying I'm not much of a gamer. With that said, PS3 rocks. I have only a few games...sports games...hockey, soccer (aka football), & golf. I love it.

In addition and just as important to me is the ability to load digital media and have it play really great looking slideshows similiar to iMovie with music et all.

Anyways, I imagine if you're a real gamer you may find the selection of games limited, however for someone like me who loves the sports games it suits me beyond my needs.

Prefer 360 all round. Sure its a nice console, but for £425 it doesnt cut it.

Yeah im in Liverpool, UK (As I speak they are getting beat 1-0 in the 1st leg of the Champions League Semi Final) but that aside lol I got my PS3 on release day on Play.com with 3 games and a HDMI cable. I think its well worth it but its a LOT better if you have a HD television the difference is unreal! I think the Xbox will outsell the PS3 because of the messing about around release, I think it was voted the top technology flop of 2006 because of all of its faux pas along the way to release.

But with blue ray, media slots, a 60GB hard drive, SIXAXIS pads, backwards compatability etc its a lot better! I've always been a sony man anyway! lol

To be honest if I could I would have both the 360 and PS3, not because I am greedy :P but both of them have titles of which I really like, for example 360 has Gears of war and you gotta love that, and I am a pretty big FF fan although I hear one of the is due to be released on the 360! Although in fairness if it wern't for certain titles I would almost certainatly go with the PS everytime. I have had the pleasure of playing one on a fairly large HD tv and it was damn impressive....and i'm just tlaking release games too, imagine a few years down the line....

i can think of a couple of titles I would like to play, that i haven't yet, God of war II, metal gear 4 when it comes out, and any new Winning eleven :)

... Just to comment on Winning Eleven / PES... It sucks donkey balls this year... MAJOR dissapointment!
