info on the remastered album as we have been talking about... maybe now Surfing with the alien might be the theme for the film ?

highly doubtful, but it is good marketing as people might associate the 2 together.

I think the whole point of remastering is to enhance the original recording, so changing or modernizing the sound or mix is pretty much out of the question. They want to make it sound better, but not different (does that make sense?). On the other hand a few years ago the first two Ozzy Osbourne solo CDs were remastered, and they replaced the bass and the drums, giving them a totally different sound and ruining them in the process.

All they are doing is re-releasing the Surfing remastered CD of 3 years ago with an extra disc so people who already went out and bought the original remastered CD again. It´s called clever marketing I believe....

I think it says 'the newly remastered album' for a reason. But I guess we'll see if it truly is just marketting...

NO! LOL

Well basically all they are doing is getting the original tapes that have been mixed and just remastering it.There´won´t be any re-recording or remixing involved.Re-Mastering will just mean that they´ll make the CD more powerful and they´ll slightly re-EQ the CD

Rocklegend you got it. You can remaster as many times you want. What that means most of the times is, "let's play a little more with the buttons". Real remastering rarely occurs and of course the master tapes have to be in excellent condition so as to have a real meaning.

So what they did is, chose the most commercially successful record, threw in a bootleg that was available, and made a appealling product without any cost. Whatever it sells is profit.

It's like the Satch Tapes. After years it comes out on DVD. You take the tape, work on it ,probably at home with Pinnacle Studio, and make a DVD. Again a low cost product.

Overall, it's not bad to do so. The price the product reaches the shelves is what should concern us. If what you pay is worth the money, no problem.
