what you guys think of the album? i thought it was alright.... its a bit layed back. i liek vais blasting solo's for example --> get the hell outa here etc. this is a more mellow album, as its played with an orchestra etc. im going to see him and the orchastra on the 19th july in Birmingham, anyone coming with me??

Meh, i though it was alright nothing special to be honest, im looking foward to the dvd, wich is supposed to come in AUG with highlights frim the show.

I was expecting must more of Vai. Not sure exactly what, but more than the album delivered.

I got to listen to half of it so far - I like it, but I'm a big fan of song re-workings. I'll spin it for at least a week though to see if I really like it.

I bought the digipak through Vai's site, and actually won an aftershow pass. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to travel at least 6 hours for a show (Philly or Chicago), and I've got no more days off from work, but I'll see what I can work out with my boss. I've heard Vai is really cool with his fans.

wow lucky win ;). im looking forward to seeing him live. its just nice to see him play, will be an experience. tbh i thought i would see satch before i would see vai. but ow well.

I thought the later stuff on the 2nd Cd was intersting, the rework not so much.

Gentle Ways was fantastic... A lot better with an orchestra! The video is on youtube too!
