Hi all!

Could you give me some good book titles about chords progressions and modes, i ask that just because i'm fed up being stuck in the same writing style... :(

Thanks!

There are loads of books but i tell you a DVD I have found superb is Danny Gill's Licklibrary Advanced Guitar it covers the modes, progressions, harmonic minor and secondary dominants with loads of examples. I have found good quality DVD lessons much more value for money.

"Getting into Jazz Fusion" by Scott Miller is a very good intermediate introduction to exotic modes and scales, and even goes into what chords work underneath each particular mode or scale. It's quite in-depth, but extremely easy for beginners to understand too. Also you get a CD with the book that has chord progressions for every mode (e.g. Lydian, Phrygian dominant, Overtone ect..)

to suppliment the above, "Chord Chemistry" by Ted Greene is reknowned as a comprehensive study of chords and chordal progressions. It will mostly benefit the advanced player.

Hi Sonik, I would recommend the Danny Gill DVD's. I don't have the Advanced Rock Guitar DVd, but the ones I do have from danny are all well explained and clear...

This is also a good one from Danny...
