I think you would love to hear Woodstock Jam if you were at a Satriani show and you had to go to the can :D

Time Machine is one my favourite albums from Joe, in my opinion it's a bit different from what he did untill then.
And yes, I've been looking in my leftovers of my huge boot collection, can't find any Time Machine songs... I keep on searching :)

if he would like me to throw my boot at him :P
BOOT TO THE HEAD!!!one thing is good at, is that he actually listens to an extent to his fans. The sad thing is that a lot of his fans are over the hill guys who are still livining the 80s. Case & point the g3 I went to, a 40+ guy high on pot looks at me and goes, you don't know anything about Joe, I'm an old fan.
I looked him dead in the eye, I can name his albums with the squares, can you?
he walked away, and it's good, cause I have no idea either :P
Anybody know where I can get them, and if they are anygood, cause I don't think they are in print

He did some small promo gigs for Time Machine and I was lucky enough to be at the very front row for one he did in London at the Underworld which is a small venue. I think he did about 7 songs and I certainly seem to remember both Time Machine and All Alone being in there.
Can't remember the full set list, but I'm sure out there someone will? I think that Rik Graham (who was a great guitar player I met at the gig) may have even grabbed the set list? Where are you now Rik?
Cheers,
Rob

I dug up a tab for Time Machine once - I think part of the problem was, assuming I can trust the tabber (and it sounded pretty good, I think, but this was a long time ago) the rhythm guitar part was really two rhythm parts that interlocked tiightly, played in two different registers of the neck. This would make it rather difficult to pull off live in a trio.
Of course, Joe's been playing in a quartet these days, so... Frankly, I'd love to hear it. The first couple tracks on that studio disk ARE pretty good. :)
joemeansgod - August 19, 2007 11:00 PM (GMT)
The CD1 of Time Machine is just as cool as EOC!!
pizzaSpecial - August 27, 2007 01:18 PM (GMT)
The songs on that album would be awesome live
wasp2020 - August 27, 2007 08:38 PM (GMT)
Saying Goodbye is one of his best songs ever. That would be weird to see live...
*thinks of Dweller on the Threshold and I Am Become Death*
