Description: Joes Pedal Board
Axeshredder - August 25, 2007 03:01 AM (GMT)
I simply asked him whats the pedal with no name that sounds like distortion from hell. He said its his new Vox pedal hes working on. The one with the yellow knobs. Sounded more Growlier if that means anything to ya. Amp stays clean throughout the show. Notice Amp Pedal is not there anymore. Only one wah and a chorus. Boss super shifter is also gone.

Great, I love the vintage look; I really thought joe would ask vox for a wha pedal but distortion is better :D

Prestige - August 25, 2007 03:27 PM (GMT)

tschommer - August 26, 2007 12:58 AM (GMT)
Cool scoop Axe!!! Looking forward to checking one out, though it probably won't be released until the Winter NAMM in mid January. I'm starting to think that Joe is going to be a very busy guy at the upcoming NAMM show. New Ibanez guitar, at least one new pedal, and possibly a third amp from Peavey.
Sonik - August 26, 2007 08:52 AM (GMT)
Awesome! I just hope it will be released faster than the vai jemini pedal!
andy82 - August 26, 2007 11:13 AM (GMT)
I wonder when its going to be released...I was thinking of getting a 535Q in the near future.
Prestige - August 26, 2007 04:40 PM (GMT)

Most new products like this are released at the Winter NAMM show.

Well it wsn't released at the NAMM show, so why are you providing the link? It's just a prototype right now anyways...
Drew - August 29, 2007 04:06 PM (GMT)
Interesting... How long has he been using it? His tone on the last G3 tour (I caught him in May, I think) is the best I've heard from him since he ditched his 6100 rig - was he using it then?
Axeshredder - August 29, 2007 04:21 PM (GMT)
i cant tell you exactly how long hes been using it because there isnt much difference between the ultra channel so its hard to tell ...but any distortion with 3 knobs and 2 foot switches definately has my attention

What!! I never said that it was. Read my post. Someone wondered when it was going to be released, and I speculated that it would be released at the Winter NAMM show THIS WINTER, the link I provided was to the 08 Winter NAMM. Almost all new products like this are released at the Winter NAMM show especially signature products by big name guitar players.
Why would I speculate that a prototype distortion pedal would be released 8 months ago?
skykiller - August 30, 2007 07:25 PM (GMT)
He showed no amps on stage during g3..maybe he is using his new amp?

Because clearly your abilities to manipulate the space-time continuum are better than mine, sir. :P

Wow I can post!
Sounds cool, I cant wait for that pedal to come out.

So there are a Vox pedal and a Korg pedal for next year with joe's name?
Axeshredder - December 4, 2007 06:31 PM (GMT)
tschommer - December 5, 2007 03:19 AM (GMT)
Do we have any idea what the Korg pedal is going to be?
Axeshredder - December 5, 2007 03:53 AM (GMT)
no..but it will be fun guessing..thanks
There really should be a Satch Wah Wah
but a satch delay could be cool
hoiguy79 - December 5, 2007 07:57 AM (GMT)
Hope not to see a Joe's pandora box... he is been using that thing, but I'm not really in multi fx.
hoiguy79 - December 16, 2007 05:22 AM (GMT)
So korg has any single pedal on the market? or just multi fx?

I think that they only have multi effects units. I wonder if it will be some variant of Pandora PX4, I have a PX4 and it really is a great practice writing tool.

Hmmm.... i just noticed something interesting...His DS-1 is connected directly to the Boss CE-2 chorus pedal, which means....the chorus is not in the fx loop...Wonder why! I always thought chorus, delay, and similar effects were to be placed in the fx loop....Was this shot taken at the Hyde St SWTA gig?
Axeshredder - March 17, 2008 09:37 AM (GMT)
yes this was taken on aug 18 2007 Hyde Street Studios SF
mouhsen - March 17, 2008 03:47 PM (GMT)
i guess my question is, why have the vox pedal go through a DS-1?
perhaps before the More button :P
Axeshredder - March 17, 2008 05:59 PM (GMT)
huh...he doesnt use both at once...yeach! ...he used the ds-1 for AWYAWM...as you see he backed it off so he doesnt accidently hit it using the vox
Satch-mo - March 18, 2008 04:16 PM (GMT)
It looks like Satch is showing us what his settings are on the pedal in the pic of him holding it...Looks similar to settings he used to use on the DS-1.
Satchaholic - March 19, 2008 12:41 AM (GMT)
I want one of these bad!
Finally Satch gets his own pedal.
