no one else as something to tell??
i think that the weird red sky helped my mother's imagination :D
andy82 - September 24, 2007 12:26 AM (GMT)
well, the red sky has an ominous feel to it.
Joe is all in black and looking a bit depressed - probably adds an element of the devil or some evil theme to the cover.
And i guess people can find things that are upside down a bit freaky (like the cross) - but in this case the guitar.
anyway, I thought it was a great cover.

Maybe she heard his playing and just assumed that he must have sold his soul to the devil.

crystal planet could be seen as a return to joe's ''roots'' , musically, but its ironic that as soon as he returns to his roots , theres no ''roots'' on the head!

If you want another story, how about the time Joe came to the local guitar shop in my town (Bill's Music of Catonsville, Md) and did a FREE autograph signing!! Then how about the time later that night where I saw him live for the first time? Or how about the time I saw him on the SC tour and i was front row, stage right, and could've touched Joe, and I SWEAR he was looking at me. Bottom line- any time Joe comes to your town, there's a good story involved somewhere.

Well this story that i'm goin to tell have been already told on the Thread that asked how did you get to know Joe Satriani's Music
Thin is as i watched a video that really blow my head off (Summer Song) i read the artists and song name, but as i haven't any pen and paper to write them down, i went quickly to the music store.
To remember his Last Name, i used this memo tech by relatin Joe Satriani with Joey Tribiani from the tv show Friends, haha.
Thing is, as i was runnin, i was repeattin myuself "Joe Satriani - Joey Tribiani / Joe Satriani - Joey Tribiani"
When i entered to the store, i ask for cds from Joey Tribiani, hahaha
seppe_sai - October 1, 2007 02:27 PM (GMT)
hahahaha satriani's name has very funny variations :D
gruskada - October 4, 2007 05:40 PM (GMT)
Yeah, my mom used to pronounce it "Satchy-own" (maybe "Saccione", if it were spelled like real Italian ^_^). In fact, I think she still does pronounce it that way, actually...
No funny stories about Satriani, but my dad once overheard me playing Steve Vai's "Alien Water Kiss", and thought it was a recording of me playing guitar. He said to me something like, "When are you going to get serious about the guitar?" :P

I can see how she got confused - here's the album upside-down :P
Sorry - I'll take any excuse to fire up Photoshop....
EDIT: whoops - I thought you said she saw it upside down.
