Anybody else buy this? I just did - you get to set your own price - I paid them 2.25 pounds (about $4.85), based on what Trent Reznor said about how much digital albums should cost if the RIAA and others weren't involved. He actually said something like $4.00, I think.
listening to it now...

I'm thinking about it. I just bought Keneally's Wooden Smoke Asleep for $10 from Moosemart.
I love the idea. Hopefully it'll become more widely used. Prince gave his latest album away with a Sunday paper in Britain a little while ago.

I downloaded it for 5 pounds. I'm loving the whole pop-rock-art thing over a warm soundscape. :)

what stops people from driving the price down?

Well, you can pay what you want for it - so if you personally only wanted to pay $1 for it, they would sell it to you. But I think (ok, hope...) a lot of people really want to see this type of thing succeed, so that other bands will consider doing the same thing (or at least just direct distribution), so they're willing to pay a more fair price for it.

although i like the idea as a concept, however I think it's a bit too idealistic, however we shall see.
What we notice in commodities, is that unless you can justify a premium, people will go to a cheaper product. And sadly most people focus on getting it for free.
we shall see what happens.
