Title: Circle From Js Live!

Can someone show the intro chords used in Circles from the new JS Live Album?

Thanks much!

just www.google.com

"Joe Satriani - Circles tab"

Its also against the rules to post tabs of the song here (from my understanding) so Google is your friend in this case.. but the chords are in key of E minor and they are mostly octave chords... so if you want to try doing it by ear theres a good starting point.

Nobody has tabbed it online, so don't bother looking.

Here's my quick stab at it:

CODE

.1........2..............3...........4......................
|-0--0--|-0---0--0--0--|-^5----^2--|-3--5--7---8--10--12----|
|-0--0--|-0---0--0--0--|-^5----^2--|-3--5--7---8--10--12----|
|-9--9--|-9--10--7--9--|-^7----^4--|-5--7--9--10--12--14----|
|-9--8--|-9--10--7--9--|-^5----^2--|-5--7--9--10--12--14----|
|-7--7--|-7---8--5--7--|-^8----^5--|-3--5--7---8--10--12----|
|-------|--------------|-^6----^3--|------------------------|

Section 1 is arpeggiated loosely and freely.
In Section 2's little phygrian pattern, the bottom strings are palm muted and arpeggiated upwards while the open strings ring freely - listen to it to understand further.
In Section 3, the strings are arpeggiated in a set pattern, but all the notes ring together for each chord and then vibrato is added via whammy bar.
In Section 4, the arpeggio pattern is similar to Section 3's, and the highest note on the high E string is important. And stay on the last of these sus2 chords for a lot longer then the other ones.

And you play in this order:
1 - 2 - 3 - 1 - 3 - 4
(Or, in summary, just listen to it to figure all of that out >_>)

If this too is against the rules, then just delete it, I guess.

Read: "Can someone show the intro chords used in Circles from the new JS Live Album?"

There are no tabs for any of the intro improvisations of Circles (on San Francisco or Satriani: Live) on the internet. And that's what he asked for.

There is for san fran just fine tune the search... either way still against rules to do it here.

You know better than that.

Searched again with various terms, nothing shows up. And you just admitted there isn't any intro tabs for Satriani: Live!, so why bother mentioning it at all? You know better then sending the new poster out on a wild goose chase. And what're 'octave chords' supposed to mean anyways?

If you're so intent on demanding that the guy learn it by ear himself, then just report the post and get on with it, right?

Must you incinerate an argument every time with people?

First of all i stated its probably against copyright rules to post the tabs here so you decide to do it anyway.. knowing the risk i have already highlighted.

Second of all Google does have the answers for it, i found the one for San Fran i didn't look for Satraini:live im sure the poster can find them himself.

An octave chord is very straight forward contains the 1st and the octave note higher. Sure you can be pedantic and say its not a chord as it only has 1 note but they are normally considered octave chords.

Thirdly..the same chords you tabbed out are on the circles live in san fran how ever they are just in a different arrangement so you could argue it is infact even easier to find than you think.

What i was in the middle of doing is naming the chords but by the time i finished you had tabbed it all out anyway..we (not you) but the members here we had a discussion about me making a website and I was going to make a site with satriani licks on including audio recording but due to copyrights it's not worth the risk of having the site closed down IMHO.

I'm tired of arguing these silly things i clearly said first post its against this sites rules but you continued anyway. If it is not against the rules why do we not have a huge catalog of satriani songs tabbed here.............
