Wanted more crunch and power from my DiMarzio so I swapped the PafPro's A5 for a Ceramic I had lying around.
The amp is a JSX Ultra ch.. Made the pup meaner adjusted the "Aw" sound as well made it a just lil' more open sounding.I perceive more high mid.Slightly brighter.It's in a SuperStrat so it works with the single coils just fine.

Nice sound ! Reminds me of Vai even though no similiarity in his tone to yours. Very sweet sound to it.. Try high distortion with some pinch harmonics... make it scream :P
