NOpe, it's my friends studio.. It's nice to get to use a studio whenever you wish.. I'm starting a Satch tribute band.. Wonder how the turnout will be ;)

This is my first post here. Wasn't sure what kind of stuff to epect on this forum but this thread turned out to be a great place to start!

I always admire Joe's intonation seeing that he uses floating trems. For me, it's much more tricky to get all the notes sounding sweet. Have you tried using a FR trem for some of his stuff? When you do a country style lick where you bend one string while fretting another (like the 12th fret position, G major bit in Surfing) you have to compensate for the dropping pitch of the fretted note by bending it a bit too. It's so much easier to get it sounding sweet on a fixed bridge.
