well got a chance to see andy timmons last night in a mesa boogie clinic.
I was sitting on the floor about 3 feet from him, and it was a shit load of fun.
the songs were really fun, he has a really simple set up, his signature guitar, into a strobe tunner -> buddah wah -> bbe preamp.
had a cool tone bone thing that allowed him to put his 2 analog man pedal and an ocatvia and a univibe in or out of the effect loop without affecting his tone too much. I don't know if that made a lot of sense, but anyways....
lone star amp and a stilleto amp, he played mostly through the lone star, and honeslty it sounded great. I wish I had a guitar, as he was very cool after the clinic when I asked him if I could play through his rig and said "sure, be my guest!"
needless to say, there is never a lefty guitar when you need it.
will post a picture soon, and it was a lot of fun, I would encourage you guys to check out his stuff.
and yes I did ask him about G3, and he say he would love to do it, and hopefully it will be a possibility!
cool man i so hope he does a g3 him and joe won the stage as does steve,
Cool, I really want to see him beside Joe at G3 as well.
For those who never heard him I recommend That Was Then, This Is Now and Resolution cds for the first listen. Really good stuff.
I really love this acoustic/electric instrumental called September you should check it out.
