i wonder what console i will be for...
and if you can upload your own songs.
i think they should make a game where you upload guitar pro files and then thats where the game gets its info from, then it follows the same format...

if you notice..realy quickly they show soundcard options..etc...so it will probably be PC format....now this can make a new generation of guitarists....haha good luck catching up to us..right?!..lol

SWEET! Can't wait. I hope it'll have more than just 30 songs, and that you can add your own.
BTW, it is for Mac and PC

well yes..this is not playing or learning how to play but its an easier form of tabs...if you want to be able to site read tabs..this is the game for you....but in the article they mention playing like keith richards...well bad reference because Keith plays with feel and by ear...something this game wont benefit...but surely better than playing a guitar with infant like buttons..lol

Looks pretty good. The only downside though I think will be kids learning to play but will have to play with the game to play (like people who can't play a song without a tab infront of them etc) Either way it is much better than the toy a of game Guitar Hero, I hate it with a passion.

Guitar Hero II is the the game that got my friend to start playing guitar and what got me really want to continue learning guitar. I had him try for like an evening and he could never even beat the first song on easy. And he got frustrated but I knew he was hooked. Then a week later I ask him when he's gonna get the game and he tells me " Why would I want to buy a 100$ game with a gay plastic guitar when I can get a real guitar and shred for real? " I dared him to buy a guitar... and he did so I started to show him stuff and learn other stuff and share it with him.
I can't stand the game these days it give head aches. I'm glad I played it however cause that's what got me really into it!

Yeh I have heard a few cases like yours. But it works the other way around aswell. My cousin bought a strat starter pack and began learning the basics. Then Guitar Hero came along and infested his blood stream. He stopped playing proper guitar to play that damn game, and isn't the only one I've heard about.

And eventually you get people saying that a guitar hero rendition of a song is harder to play on Guitar Hero than real guitar so they have all the rights to brag they ditched real guitar......

anyone who even compares a game that will be outdated in a year to playing guitar which has been around as long as...hmmm..a long time...is freekin nuts....the coordination it takes to create a note on the guitar is harder than most instruments ie. piano, drums etc. guitar hero allows for off-timing as long as your close....lets see how much guitar hero skills are worth in the years to come...guitar skills will always be valuable and will progress...guitar hero needs to be renamed guitar wannabe heros..lol
point is you cant compare the intelligence factor of a game player to a musician...we work..they play

I just see it in twenty years from now...
'Here we present for you an interview with the widely acclaimed guitarist ____ _____ of one of the most successful _________ bands.
Q: What got you into guitar?
_: Well, I started regulary like every other person with Real Guitar Hero...'
:smoke2:
This might be the new line, instead of 'with Nothing Else Matters'
:D

guitar hero has 4 frets to play on.
a guitar has 6/7/12 strings and 22/24 frets to play on. therefore guitar must be more complex.
guitar hero might be good for learning how to stretch and hold the neck properly, but thats all XD
