i'll be seeing them next thursday night
this will be the 4th time i've seen them...first time was 1977
actually, before Satch, this was my favorite group upon which i spent countless hours listening to & trying to learn guitar licks
i'm not too thrilled with their past few albums - just a song here and there

Rush was great...started the show with Limelight...played nearly all of their classics like Trees, 2112, Tom Sawyer, etc....did a few songs off their latest album
Alex Lifeson looked to be playing a couple of trem-equipped Gibson Les Pauls...never seen those before...he also did an incredible amount of pedal-dancing...did some acoustic stuff as well
Fantastic drum solo by Neil Peart...he performed on a spinning platform where he was encircled by 3 or 4 different drum sets
Geddy Lee was tremendous on bass...his voice has deepened somewhat...what I thought were his bass amps, & I don't get this, really looked like 2 giant lit up glass cases with spinning chickens...on the front of the cases the word "henhouse" was painted on them...so it looked like about a 100 chickens were in there cooking...occasionally, a guy in a chef hat would come out on stage & act like he was smearing bbq sauce on the birds....again, i don't get it
