Stratster - March 7, 2008 03:33 AM (GMT)
Thats awesome too bad theres nothing even remotely close to Florida. It makes perfect sense why Joe is touring Europe in summer though I mean he has a son and he has to go to school, and what would he rather spend his summer vacation on, touring the United States or Europe with his dad. So there will probably be fall US shows when his son is back in school. B)

nickthelefty - March 7, 2008 02:40 PM (GMT)
So you can go see Joe for free?? That's great!! lol I'm only a few hours away from D.C. anyone else gonna go there?

mouhsen - March 7, 2008 03:39 PM (GMT)

skykiller - March 8, 2008 10:38 PM (GMT)

Prestige - March 8, 2008 11:39 PM (GMT)
will this dvd/cd be documenting these sessions? im confused about the cd/dvd part... or is this his new album???

Axeshredder - March 8, 2008 11:56 PM (GMT)
deluxe edition includes a dvd of the 20th anniversary etc. w/ Joes new CD....like the SWTA legacy...its bonus footage to promote sales mainly because is not high quality to release on its own

G_Daddy - March 19, 2008 05:42 PM (GMT)
How do these GC appearances work for the fans? So can I just show up at GC and get in? Is there a line ticket I have to buy ahead of time? I'd appreciate any guidance from you vets out there!

I waited 4 hours in Philadephia and sat in the front row. He played "Musterion", "Overdrive", "Dit ya doo dat", "Flying in a Blue Dream", "Always with you/me", "Satch Boogie".
He wasn't as smooth as I thought he would be. He didn't struggle but he worked really hard on the new songs and didn't miss a note. Of course, he breezed through the rest of the songs.
He was funny and he's extremely deep. He talked about when you play the 6th string above the 7th position or so that the notes are sharp because the frets are closer together and you have to stretch the string more than you do to touch the fingerboard than in the lower positions. And he talked about volume. He said "We can hear high frequencies at low volumes but low frequencies at low volumes are hard to hear. And if you play a low frequency at normal volume then turn it down it sounds like the tempo speeds up". I guess he picked all this stuff up in the recording studio but it's pretty astute.
He didn't say anything to me when he signed an autograph. I mentioned I saw Robin Trower the night before and all he had to say was "oh yeah". He signed my photo then placed my pen and photo down. Didn't even hand it to me. I said "Thanks, Joe" and that was it.

rygelxvi - April 20, 2008 07:19 AM (GMT)
That doesn't sound like Joe at all.
He must have been very tired cause usually a (funny) conversation is very easy with him.
