well at lest the teaser is good. siong did seem a lttle short ,but maybe hes combining SC brevity , with extremist song types. never used the word brevity hyuk.....

this album sounds like he got it ''together'' , instead of what they said SC was. so , for me, this is the followup to ITLIS...

I think it will take a bit of time to get used to for a lot of people. I found it really good on the first listen but it's just me. I'm not a fan of too much sampling though.

The tune isn't terrible, especially if it's the single or fun song on the album. It drags a tad with that AC/DC type of rhythm, and it seems like it's an attempt to make a song like "Crowd Chant" but longer. The solo is entertaining, no surprise there but even the talkbox part is low, unclear, and out of place. I guess I feel like if he wanted to rock, he should have just played Satch Boogie, haha. Either way, I Still can't wait for the album to come out.

Undoubtedly Joe's most commercial outing ever from what it sounds like. Very radio friendly. Not decided on whether I think that's a good thing or not though....

i'm quite disapointed by this song... as i read above, it sounds like a "quickie" :)
it contains all the typical satch's signature licks... still the same pentatonic licks, the same stuff he's been playing since few years now, over and over. i just can't hear it anymore ! He can do so much better ! I loved the latest albums though, but some of the licks are terribly over-used...

"i wanna rock" is in the same spirit as the SC song, but without the great tone, nor the fluidity... in my opinion, of course.

i can't wait to buy the new album, now that the worst song is known, the others are gonna be great :)

I completely agree. There wasn't anything particularly innovative about this song. He's still using the same pentatonic licks he always has. I like them, but we need something new. Though I must say that I prefer him using a talkbox over singing. I also like how lyrics didn't dominate the song. I just hope that the rest of the album will have some interesting songs.
