Title: Satchurator Vs Jemini...place Your Bets!

haven't had a chance to hear Vai's Jemini pedal yet, but I have to say, I'm much more excited about the Satchurator. The Jemini seems like it is just a Tubescreamer and DS-1 in one package, designed for pushing an already overdriven amp, rather than a serious high gain distortion monster...

vai pedal will not be released until june..about the same time as the saturator...theres nothing to discuss until then...but ill bet any amount of money the saturator blows it away....and from what i heard its made of cheap plastic (jemini) and a combo of ds-1 and tube screamer...The Teacher Wins....(though i heard it in SF and noticed something very different immediately and knew the jsx wasnt doing it)

mmm i bet for the satchurator, it is a real designed signature, not only a swirled box, both are nice and are based in the same concept, two ists in one pedal, bud like satchMO says, jemini=tubescreamer+ds1

satchurator, because its had more thought into it. the jemini is just a ds1 and a tube screamer.... satch has that more switch!!! that rly cool switch which magicaly makes pedals work well together (imo that is rly usefull, and should be some kind of patch pedal in itself, would be usefull for my dad who has loads of pedals which dont work together).

We're basically comparing Joe Satriani to Steve Vai, on a Joe Satriani forum...

Not at all, actually....We're not talking about style or technique or composition or any of that...We're talking about comparing pedals here. Come on...

kinda funny how theyre both being released at the same time...something tells me it isnt a coincidence. But not by Joe and Steve but by Vox!.. and assuming most will buy one or the other and not both. The sales stats will say something! Should be interesting and fun!

lol I think the Satchurator is going to be the benchmark for next generation pedal design. The fact that the thing is analog is a HUGE selling point for me. I don't know of any analog distortion pedals that currently exist. If anybody does, please enlighten me...

Satchurator seems like it will be a better quality and sounding pedal. Im only making that assumption because it seems as if more time was spent developing the Sathurator than the Jemini.

I will still be getting both though :)
