what is it :S? (feels dumb)
FenixBG - April 21, 2008 04:52 PM (GMT)
It is a VST application - a software amplifier.
You plug your guitar in the computer, start the program and out comes the mighty tone
I have not yet found a software that would really make me not use my real amp, but the technology is advancing rapidly and since I do not have finances to record the amplifier properly, I am looking into these, and believe me - this is one of the best. And it is the first one, that I really start to like.
If a friend of mine allows me, I would post his samples, mine are not that good but still quite good for a software amplification.
There is my sample, I was looking for trash sound. Chain:
Guitar - cable- computer (craaaapppyyy onboard soundcard and cable)
You can think about how it would sound with a nice pre-amp and a DI box :) and a nice sound card of course.

FenixBG - April 21, 2008 11:21 PM (GMT)
Oh, I was going for trash here.
Believe me, I also do not like simulations, but I have heard quite a lot from this one, gonnna post later :)

Bfenix, I still love it man!
I need M audio thingy wingy to connect my guitar with pc. I use mainboard soundcard too and I know how crappy that can be :)

Mk3 is a jewel!
I've been lucky enough to be in beta program and JSX sim came out as one of the best.
http://www.sendspace.com/file/34xsgzHere is a quick jam. peavey EXP (with dimrazio air classic bridge and neck) into m-audio fasttrack usb (mac version of R3). JSX crunch channel half gain :)

^I completely agree.
The best soft out there and the first one that sounds like the real thing!

would someone help me out. It does'nt seem to work for me even though GuitarRig does. I have an ASIO supporting soundcard and other sims like Amplitube Live,Hendrix Amplitube, Guitar Rig 2 & 3 are working just fine.
Initially it said invalid sample rate and now i dont know what input/output device to select at what sample rate?
Any help would be appreciated.
FenixBG - May 3, 2008 11:06 AM (GMT)
There is probably some contradiction between the default sample rate that asio assignes and the one of the soundcard. Do you have more than one sound card? Try deactivating one of them.
Also try increasing the sample rate in the ASIO panel. This would bring it latency, but might at least run it....

Thanks a lot man. I got it to work now. Named input device as analog mix L+R and output as my soundcard SBAudigy at 48k. Works only at 48k.
You're awesome :rock2:
FenixBG - May 3, 2008 12:58 PM (GMT)
Yeah, resampling to 48 was also something that might work. Great!
Glad that you got it up :)
Sooo, now we are expecting some music!

ya i'm not gonna be composing and recording anytime soon unfortunately. I'm taking a break from gigging and recording to concentrate on my playing for maybe another year. But thanks for the support.
I'll put up clips of revalver once i get the hang of it though.
